ಪೊನ್ನಣ್ಣ ಅವರು ಶನಿವಾರದಂದು ಟಿ. ಶೆಟ್ಟಿಗೇರಿ, ಬಿರುನಾಣಿ, ಶ್ರೀಮಂಗಲ, ಕುಟ್ಟ, ನಾಲ್ಕೇರಿ, ಕೆ. ಬಾಡಗ, ಕಾನೂರು, ನಿಟ್ಟೂರು, ಬಾಳೆಲೆ, ಪೊನೃಪಸಂತೆ, ಗ್ರಾಮಗಳಿಗೆ ಭೇಟಿ ನೀಡಿದರು.ಗ್ರಾಮ ಪಂಚಾಯತಿ ಚುನಾವಣೆಯ ಹಿನ್ನೆಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದ ಪೊನ್ನಣ್ಣನವರು, "ಗ್ರಾಮ ಸೇವಕರು ಪಂಚಾಯತ್ ಸದಸ್ಯರಾಗಬೇಕು. ಅಂದು ಪ್ರಜಾಪ್ರಭುತ್ವದ ನಿಜವಾದ ಜಯ," ಎಂದು ವಿವರಿಸಿದರು. ಗ್ರಾಮಗಳ ಭೇಟಿಯ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಕಾಂಗ್ರೆಸ್ ಭ್ಲಾಕ್ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷ ನವೀನ್, ಫ್ರಧಾನ ಕಾರ್ಯದಶಿ ಬಾಬು ಹಾಗೂ ಬಾಲಕೃಷ್ಣ, ಜಿಲ್ಲಾ ಪಂಚಾಯತ್ ಸದಸ್ಯರಾದ ಶಿವ ಮಾದಪ್ಪ, ಪ್ರತ್ಯು, ತಾಲ್ಲೂಕು ಪಂಚಾಯತ್ ಸದಸ್ಯರಾದ ಪಲ್ವಿನ್ ಪೂಣಚ್ಚ, ಎಲ್ಲ ವಿಭಾಗೀಯ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರು ಹಾಜರಿದ್ದರು.
