ರಾಯ್ ಡೇವಿಸ್ ಎಂಬ ಅಮಾಯಕನನ್ನು ಕೊಲೆ ಮಾಡಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಇದು ಪೊಲೀಸರು ನಡೆಸಿರುವ ಹತ್ಯೆ. ಇತ್ತೀಚಿನ ದಿನಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಕೊಡಗಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಪೊಲೀಸರಿಂದ ಅತ್ಯಾಚಾರ ಹೆಚ್ಚಾಗಿದೆ. ಈ ವಿಚಾರವನ್ನು ಹಿರಿಯ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳ ಮತ್ತು ಶಾಸಕರ ಗಮನಕ್ಕೆ ತಂದಿದ್ದೇನೆ. ಜನಜೀವನವನ್ನು ರಕ್ಷಣೆ ಮಾಡಬೇಕಾದ ಪೊಲೀಸರು ಇವತ್ತು ಭಕ್ಷಕರಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಅತ್ಯಾಚಾರ ನಾವು ಸಹಿಸುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ನಿಷ್ಪಕ್ಷಪಾತವಾದ ತನಿಖೆ ನಡೆದು ಸತ್ಯ ಹೊರಬರಲಿ. ನ್ಯಾಯ ಸಿಗುವವರೆಗೂ ಹೋರಾಟ ನಡೆಯುತ್ತದೆ. ತಮ್ಮ ರಕ್ಷಣೆಗೋಸ್ಕರ ಪೊಲೀಸರು ಕಟ್ಟುಕಥೆ ಕಟ್ಟಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಕೆಲವು ಪೇದೆಗಳ ಅಮಾನತ್ತಿನಿಂದ ನ್ಯಾಯ ದೊರಕುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ಹಿರಿಯ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳು ಕೂಡ ಇದಕ್ಕೆ ಜವಾಬ್ದಾರರು. ಡಿ.ಜಿ-ಐ.ಜಿ.ಪಿ ಪ್ರವೀಣ್ ಸೂದ್ ಸಾಹೇಬರ ಜೊತೆ ಈಗಾಗಲೇ ಈ ವಿಷಯ ಚರ್ಚೆ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದೇನೆ

ಸರ್ಕಾರ ಮತ್ತು ಆಡಳಿತದ ವೈಫಲ್ಯದ ಮಧ್ಯೆ ಇಸ್ಕಾನ್ ಫೌಂಡೇಶನ್, ಐ ಕೇರ್ ಬ್ರಿಗೇಡ್, ಜೈ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ಮತ್ತು ಇತರ ಸಂಘ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಗಳು ಹಾಗೂ ಹಲವಾರು ಜನ ವೈಯಕ್ತಿಕ ಮಟ್ಟದಲ್ಲಿ ಜನರ ಸೇವೆಗೆ ಹಾಗೂ ಬಡ ಜನರ ಹಸಿವು ನೀಗಿಸಲು ಮುಂದಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಕೊರೋನಾ ಮಹಾಮಾರಿಯನ್ನು ಎದುರಿಸಿ ತಮ್ಮ ಜೀವ ಹಾಗೂ ಆರೋಗ್ಯ ಎರಡನ್ನೂ ಪಣಕ್ಕೆ ಇಟ್ಟು ಇವರು ಜನರ ಸಹಾಯ ಮಾಡಲು ನಿಂತಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಅವರಿಗೆ ಶುಭವಾಗಲಿ ಮತ್ತು ಕಾವೇರಿ ತಾಯಿ ಅವರನ್ನು ರಕ್ಷಿಸಲಿ. ಇವರ ಜನಪರ ಕಾಳಜಿ, ಶಿಸ್ತು ಮತ್ತು ಬದ್ಧತೆಗೆ ನಾನು ತಲೆಬಾಗುತ್ತೇನೆ. ನನಗೂ ಕೂಡ ಅವರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಸೇರಿ ಜನರ ಸೇವೆ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಲು ಅವಕಾಶ ನೀಡಿದ್ದಕ್ಕೆ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಕೃತಜ್ಞತೆಗಳು.

ಹಾಕಿ ಪಟು ಹಾಗೂ 88 ಅಂತಾರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯಪಂದ್ಯಗಳಿಗೆ ಅಂಪೈರ್ ಆಗಿ ಕಾರ್ಯನಿರ್ವಹಿಸಿದ ಕೊಡಗಿನ ಅನುಪಮಾ ಪುಚಿಮಂಡ ಕೋವಿಡ್ ನಿಂದ ಅಸುನೀಗಿದ ಸುದ್ದಿ ಆಘಾತ ತಂದಿತ್ತು. ಅವರು ಅಗಲಿದ ಸುದ್ದಿ ಕೇಳಿ ವಿಕ್ರಮ್ ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆಗೆ ಹೋದಾಗ ಕೋವಿಡ್ ನಿಯಮಾವಳಿಗಳ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಅವರ ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥೀವ ಶರೀರಕ್ಕೆ ಅಂತಿಮ ನಮನ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಲೂ ಅವಕಾಶ ದೊರೆಯಲಿಲ್ಲ. ವಿಧಿಯಾಟ ಕ್ರೂರವಾಗಿದೆ. ಕೊಡಗಿನ ಹೆಮ್ಮೆಯ ಮಗಳಿಗೆ ಇಂತಹ ದುರಂತ ಸಾವು ತುಂಬಾ ನೋವನ್ನು ತಂದಿದೆ. ಅವರ ಅಗಲಿಕೆಯ ನೋವನ್ನು ಭರಿಸುವ ಶಕ್ತಿ ಕಾವೇರಿ ತಾಯಿ ಅವರ ಕುಟುಂಬದವರು ಹಾಗೂ ಸ್ನೇಹಿತರಿಗೆ ನೀಡಲಿ.

My tributes to one of the most eminent jurists of India, Soli Sorabjee. We have lost one of the brightest legal minds today. The former Attorney-General can never be forgotten for his defence of freedom of expression and protection of human rights.
